01 · PEM Hydrogen Generators
HG-250
250 ml/min for a single instrument
The smallest of the three capacities: 250 ml/min at full output and 175 ml/min for continuous consumption. Water is electrolysed across the proton-exchange membrane as the gas is consumed, so the only hydrogen in the instrument is the small volume in the filter train.

Overview
What this model does well
Gas made as it is drawn
Nothing is stored under pressure beyond the small volume held in the filters — there is no cylinder inventory in the lab.
Three-stage drying train
Water trap, silica gel and a 5 Å molecular sieve bring the gas to 99.9995 % purity at the outlet.
Deionised water, no electrolyte
Below 0.5 µS/cm, with no KOH or NaOH added. Water quality is shown on the LCD in set mode.
Alarms that stop generation
Water empty, water over and pressure over each stop the cell: the Alarm LED blinks, the buzzer sounds every 10 s and the message appears on LCD line 4.
